Digital Currency Risk Disclosure
NETO G. STYLE VENTURES
Effective Date: November 4, 2026
This Digital Currency Risk Disclosure explains material risks associated with buying, selling, receiving, sending, or otherwise exchanging digital currencies through Neto G. Style Ventures (the “Business,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). It forms part of the information customers should consider before requesting or proceeding with a transaction. Digital currencies, including USDT, involve risks that may result in substantial or total financial loss. Please read this disclosure carefully.
1. Nature of Digital Currencies
Digital currencies are electronically represented units of value that may be transferred using blockchain or other distributed-ledger systems. They are generally not issued by a central bank, are not legal tender in Canada, and do not carry the same protections as deposits at a regulated Canadian financial institution. Their legal and regulatory treatment may differ across jurisdictions and change over time.
2. Market Price and Volatility
Digital currency prices can change sharply, unpredictably, and without warning. Prices may be affected by supply and demand, market sentiment, liquidity, exchange outages, economic conditions, regulatory announcements, or other events. A customer may receive substantially less value than expected, even over a short period. Past price behaviour does not predict future results.
3. Stablecoin Risks, Including USDT
USDT is commonly described as a stablecoin intended to track the value of the U.S. dollar. Its market price is not guaranteed to remain equal to one U.S. dollar. Stablecoins may lose their peg, trade at a discount or premium, face redemption restrictions, or be affected by the issuer’s reserves, governance, banking relationships, legal proceedings, or operational decisions. Neto G. Style Ventures does not guarantee USDT’s value, backing, redeemability, or continued availability.
4. No Deposit Insurance or Government Guarantee
Digital currency holdings and transactions are not the same as insured bank deposits. They are not protected by Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation deposit insurance merely because a Canadian business facilitates the exchange. Neither FINTRAC registration nor any other registration should be understood as a government guarantee, endorsement, investment approval, or assurance against loss.
5. Blockchain Transfers May Be Irreversible
Once a blockchain transfer has been broadcast or confirmed, it may be impossible to cancel, reverse, recover, or amend. Sending funds to an incorrect address, unsupported network, incompatible wallet, or fraudulent recipient can cause permanent loss. Customers must independently verify all wallet addresses, blockchain networks, destination details, and transaction instructions before authorizing a transfer.
6. Network Selection, Fees, and Congestion
The same digital currency may operate on different blockchain networks. A transfer made on the wrong network may not be recoverable. Network fees, congestion, confirmation requirements, outages, chain reorganizations, forks, and protocol changes can delay transactions, increase costs, or prevent completion. Any estimated processing or confirmation time is not guaranteed.
7. Wallets, Keys, and Custody
Control of a digital currency wallet often depends on private keys, recovery phrases, devices, and access credentials. Loss, theft, disclosure, or compromise of these items can lead to irreversible loss of assets. Customers are responsible for securing wallets and credentials under their control. The Business does not undertake to recover assets lost through a customer-controlled wallet or compromised credentials.
8. Cybersecurity, Scams, and Fraud
Digital currency users may be targeted by phishing, malware, impersonation, fake investment opportunities, social engineering, address substitution, account takeover, and other scams. Fraudsters may pressure customers to act quickly or misrepresent who controls a receiving wallet. Customers should verify the identity and legitimacy of counterparties and never share private keys, seed phrases, one-time passwords, or sensitive credentials.
9. Third-Party and Infrastructure Risk
Transactions may depend on independent exchanges, wallet providers, payment systems, banks, blockchain networks, internet connectivity, and other third parties. These services may experience outages, insolvency, security incidents, restrictions, freezes, operational errors, or discontinuation. The Business does not control these third parties and cannot guarantee their availability or performance.
10. Liquidity and Execution Risk
Market liquidity can change rapidly. A quoted exchange rate may expire or become unavailable before the Business confirms the transaction. Slippage, spreads, market movements, third-party fees, or limited availability may affect the final amount exchanged. A transaction is not final merely because a customer requested a quote or sent an inquiry; the applicable rate and terms must be confirmed for that transaction.
11. Payment Confirmation and Reversal Risk
Fiat payments, including Interac e-Transfer, may be delayed, rejected, held, investigated, disputed, or reversed in circumstances permitted by applicable payment arrangements and law. A screenshot, email, or notification alone may not establish final receipt of funds. Digital currency transfers and fiat payments have different settlement characteristics, creating risk where one leg of an exchange cannot be recovered.
12. Identity Verification and Compliance Holds
The Business may require identification, source-of-funds information, transaction details, or other documentation to satisfy applicable anti-money-laundering, anti-terrorist-financing, sanctions, fraud-prevention, and other legal obligations. Transactions may be delayed, declined, suspended, or subject to reporting where required or permitted by law. The Business may be legally restricted from disclosing certain information concerning a review or report.
13. Regulatory, Legal, and Tax Risks
Rules governing digital currencies, stablecoins, exchanges, sanctions, reporting, and consumer protection may change and may differ between Canada and other countries. Regulatory action may restrict access to a token, network, service, or counterparty. Digital currency transactions may also create tax reporting or payment obligations. Customers are responsible for obtaining independent legal and tax advice relevant to their circumstances.
14. Cross-Border and Currency Conversion Risks
Transactions involving CAD, NGN, USDT, or other currencies may expose customers to foreign-exchange movements, intermediary restrictions, local laws, settlement delays, or currency-conversion costs. Exchange-rate changes can occur between quotation, payment, and completion. The Business does not guarantee the availability or timing of a cross-border transfer or payout.
15. No Investment Advice or Profit Assurance
Neto G. Style Ventures provides exchange-related services and does not, by this disclosure, provide investment, financial, legal, or tax advice. We do not recommend that any customer purchase or hold digital currency as an investment, and we do not guarantee returns, price stability, profit, or suitability for a particular purpose. Customers must make their own informed decisions.
16. Customer Due Diligence and Responsibility
Before proceeding, customers should understand the asset and network involved; independently verify recipient information; confirm the quoted rate, fees, amount, and payment instructions; evaluate whether the transaction is affordable; and consider the possibility of complete loss. Customers should not proceed if they do not understand the risks or are acting under pressure from a third party.
17. Service Availability and Changes
The Business may limit or discontinue support for particular digital currencies, networks, payment methods, jurisdictions, or transaction types, subject to applicable law and agreed transaction terms. Technical or compliance circumstances may require additional checks or affect processing. The Business does not promise continuous availability of any digital currency exchange service.
18. Risk Acknowledgment
By requesting or proceeding with a digital currency exchange transaction, a customer acknowledges having had the opportunity to review this disclosure and understands that digital currency transactions can involve volatility, irreversible transfers, fraud, technological failure, regulatory restrictions, and loss of some or all funds. This acknowledgment does not waive any non-waivable rights or remedies available under applicable law.
19. Relationship to Other Terms
This disclosure should be read together with the Business’s Terms & Conditions, Privacy Policy, and AML/KYC Policy. If a provision conflicts with mandatory applicable law, that law prevails. Nothing in this disclosure excludes responsibility or customer rights where exclusion is prohibited by law.
