AML/KYC Policy
ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING & KNOW YOUR CUSTOMER POLICY
Neto G. Style Ventures
Effective date: November 4, 2026
1. Purpose and Scope
Neto G. Style Ventures (“NGS,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) provides foreign exchange and digital currency exchange services, including transactions involving Canadian dollars (CAD), Nigerian naira (NGN), and supported digital currencies such as USDT. This policy explains the customer-facing anti-money laundering (“AML”), anti-terrorist financing (“ATF”), and know-your-customer (“KYC”) requirements that may apply when customers request or use our services. It applies to prospective and existing individual and business customers, their authorized representatives, and relevant transactions. This policy forms part of our customer-facing service information and should be read together with our Terms and Conditions and Privacy Policy.
2. Regulatory Framework
NGS is registered as a money services business with the Financial Transactions and Reports Analysis Centre of Canada (“FINTRAC”) under registration number M23722678. Registration with FINTRAC does not constitute government endorsement, approval of particular transactions, or a guarantee of safety. NGS seeks to comply with applicable Canadian AML/ATF laws, including the Proceeds of Crime (Money Laundering) and Terrorist Financing Act and related regulations, as well as applicable sanctions and other legal obligations. FINTRAC registration is distinct from registration or licensing requirements that may apply in other jurisdictions.
3. Customer Eligibility and Acceptance
Customers must provide truthful, accurate, complete, and current information and must be legally permitted to enter into the requested transaction. We may decline, delay, suspend, or discontinue a customer relationship or transaction where required by law, where verification is incomplete, where we cannot reasonably assess risk, or where there are concerns about fraud, sanctions, money laundering, terrorist financing, or other prohibited activity. Acceptance of an inquiry or quotation does not guarantee that a transaction will be processed.
4. Identity Verification — Individuals
Before processing a transaction or establishing a business relationship, we may request and verify information such as a customer’s legal name, date of birth, residential address, occupation or nature of business, contact information, and identity-document details. Depending on applicable legal thresholds, the transaction type, and risk indicators, we may request a government-issued photo identification document, a photograph or selfie, additional verification information, or other documents. Verification methods and timing are determined by applicable requirements and the circumstances of the transaction. A customer may be asked to repeat verification if information changes or cannot be confirmed.
5. Business Customers and Representatives
For businesses or other entities, we may request legal and operating names, registration or incorporation details, principal business address, nature of business, ownership and control information, and identification of persons authorized to act on the entity’s behalf. Where required, we may identify and take reasonable measures to confirm beneficial ownership, control, and relevant directors or trustees. We may require documents establishing signing authority, source of funds, and the purpose of the proposed transaction.
6. Purpose of Transactions and Source of Funds
We may ask customers to explain the purpose and expected nature of a transaction, the origin of funds or digital assets, the relationship between the sender and recipient, and the economic rationale for a transaction. Supporting documents may include invoices, contracts, receipts, transaction histories, bank records, or other relevant records. Information requests are risk-based and may occur before, during, or after a transaction as permitted or required by law. Customers must not misstate the purpose of payments or conceal the true parties to a transaction.
7. Payment and Account Ownership
For eligible CAD transactions, NGS may use Interac e-Transfer. Customers must use payment arrangements expressly confirmed for the transaction. We may require the payment account to be held in the verified customer’s name and may reject third-party payments or transfers from unrelated accounts. We may request evidence of account ownership or payment authorization. Payment confirmation, an e-Transfer notification, or a screenshot does not by itself establish final, irrevocable receipt of funds. Customers must not send funds to unverified or changed payment instructions without confirming them through our official contact channels.
8. Digital Currency Transactions
For supported digital currency transactions, we may request wallet addresses, transaction identifiers, network information, proof of wallet control or ownership, and information about the origin or intended destination of digital assets. We may use blockchain transaction information and risk indicators to assess transactions. Customers are responsible for confirming the correct network, token, address, and transaction details. Blockchain transfers may be irreversible, and we may decline transfers associated with prohibited activity or elevated risk. Additional information may be required for virtual currency transfers under applicable law.
9. Screening and Enhanced Due Diligence
As appropriate and where required, we may conduct screening relating to sanctions, politically exposed persons, heads of international organizations, adverse information, and other risk factors. Higher-risk customers or transactions may be subject to enhanced review, including additional identification, documentation, approval, or monitoring. Screening results are assessed in context and do not automatically establish wrongdoing. We may refuse a transaction when required information cannot be obtained or verified.
10. Ongoing Monitoring and Updated Information
Customer information may be reviewed and updated over the course of a business relationship. We may monitor transaction activity for inconsistencies with information provided, unusual patterns, potential fraud, sanctions concerns, and other risks. Customers must notify us of material changes to identity, contact details, business ownership, authorized representatives, or transaction circumstances. We may request updated information even where a customer has previously completed verification.
11. Prohibited Conduct
Customers must not use NGS services for money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, sanctions evasion, identity theft, unauthorized transfers, or any other unlawful purpose. Customers must not provide false identification, use another person’s account without authorization, misrepresent transaction purposes, conceal beneficial ownership, structure transactions to avoid legal requirements, or attempt to circumvent verification. We may take appropriate action where such conduct is suspected, subject to applicable law.
12. Reporting and Legal Disclosures
NGS may be legally required to submit prescribed reports to FINTRAC or other competent authorities, including reports relating to suspicious transactions and other reportable activity where applicable legal conditions are met. We may also be required to respond to lawful requests, comply with court orders, or take steps required by sanctions or other legislation. We will not necessarily notify customers of reports or disclosures where doing so is prohibited by law or would compromise an investigation.
13. Transaction Holds, Rejections, and Cancellations
A transaction may be delayed, placed under review, rejected, or cancelled when verification is pending, payment receipt is uncertain, information is inconsistent, or legal or compliance concerns arise. Any return of funds or assets is subject to applicable law, payment-provider restrictions, transaction status, fraud controls, and our Terms and Conditions. Where permitted, we may request additional documents before resolving a hold. We do not promise a particular processing time while compliance checks remain outstanding.
14. Recordkeeping
We maintain records of identification, transactions, business relationships, and compliance-related information as required by applicable law. Retention periods depend on the record category and legal requirements. Some records may need to be retained after a customer relationship ends. Records are handled in accordance with applicable privacy and security obligations and our Privacy Policy.
15. Privacy and Information Security
Information obtained for KYC and AML purposes is used to assess identity, eligibility, transaction legitimacy, legal compliance, fraud risk, and related service needs. Information may be disclosed to verification providers, financial institutions, payment providers, professional advisers, or authorities where permitted or required by law. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards appropriate to the information and risks involved. No transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Customers should provide sensitive documents only through a channel expressly designated by NGS for that purpose.
16. Customer Cooperation and Accuracy
Customers agree to cooperate with lawful verification and compliance requests and to provide authentic, current, and complete information. We may be unable to provide services if a customer refuses to supply necessary information. Submission of documents does not automatically establish eligibility or require NGS to complete a transaction. Customers remain responsible for the accuracy of their instructions and for ensuring that their transactions comply with laws applicable to them.
17. Third Parties and Cross-Border Transactions
Cross-border transactions may involve additional checks or requirements imposed by banks, payment service providers, digital asset networks, counterparties, and authorities in the jurisdictions involved. We may request information about senders, recipients, intermediaries, and transaction purposes. NGS may decline transactions that cannot be supported through available lawful payment or settlement arrangements. Services are not offered where doing so would violate applicable law.
18. Changes to This Policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in law, regulatory guidance, our services, or our compliance practices. The version published on our website will state its effective date. Changes do not limit rights or obligations imposed by applicable law.
